DFDL Mekong was established in Laos in 1994, as the first officially authorized foreign legal and tax consultancy (under the name DFDL). Since 2003, our office in Vientiane has operated under the name of Mekong Law Group. Licensed by the Lao authorities as legal and tax advisers, the Firm is permitted to advise foreign investors and international organizations on all aspects of Lao law.
The five foreign advisers and five Laotian advisers and attorneys working at the Lao office are fully committed to provide our clients international standard services coupled with an in-depth knowledge of the local environment.
Our clients are major international and Asian foreign investors participating in foreign direct investment in Lao PDR, including large foreign and Asian financial institutions. We have been involved in most major projects in Lao PDR for more than 10 years, including most large hydro-electricity and mining projects.
