DFDL Mekong has a strong Project Finance Practice Group, headed in each office by lawyers with many years of project finance experience. Although project finance is a new development in the Region, we have extensive experience interpreting and applying complex and unusual legal provisions to help guide banks in granting loans secured by local assets. In addition to the major project finance transactions, we have advised offshore financial institutions and represented a number of locally registered international banks to provide secured lending to local projects. Over the past few years, we have also been involved in major debt restructuring projects which involved large regional companies with local assets.
