Partner and Country Managing Director – Based in Vietnam, Thierry is a French qualified lawyer with over 15 years of experience on M&A and privatization, infrastructure projects, taxation and technical assistance to local governments. He has worked in Asia for 10 years, seven of which were spent in Vietnam. Thierry started his career with Gide Loyrette Nouel in France and was posted successively in Vietnam and Thailand. He then became partner at a leading commercial law firm, Naciri & Associes in Casablanca, Morocco. Prior to joining DFDL Mekong, Thierry was the managing lawyer for the Hong Kong and Guangzhou offices of a French law firm. Thierry attended Universite Paris Dauphine where he studied international business and administration, and business law at Universite Pantheon Assas (Paris II). He is a graduate of the Paris Institute of Political Studies (Sciences Po). He speaks French, English, basic Vietnamese and Mandarin.

Regional Managing Partner of DFDL Mekong and Head of the Project Finance, Energy and Infrastructure Practice Group - he holds a LL.M (London School of Economics) and is a member of the Quebec Bar Association (Canada). His practice covers International Banking, Project Finance and Investment. He speaks English, French and basic Vietnamese and Khmer.

Managing Director, Regional Tax Practice Group. He holds a Bachelor in Law (Antwerp) and a Master in Tax Law (Brussels). He advises multinational enterprises and international organizations in the field of taxation and specializes in the Indochina region and international tax planning. He speaks Dutch, German, English, French and Thai.

Partner, Lawyer and Head of Hanoi Legal Team – Phong Anh is a qualified Vietnamese lawyer and a member of the Hanoi Bar Association. He has advised both investors and governmental agencies in Vietnam for around 13 years with the largest international French law firm, Gide Loyrette Nouel. He speaks Vietnamese, English and French.

Senior Legal Adviser and Attorney-at-Law – Hanh is a qualified Vietnamese lawyer and a member of the Hanoi Bar Association with twelve years experience practicing commercial and corporate law with international firms and organizations in Vietnam. Her practice areas cover corporate law, project finance and inbound investment. She speaks Vietnamese, French and English.

Partner, Lawyer and Senior Adviser – Thang is a qualified Vietnamese lawyer and he has practiced law for more than ten years. Prior to joining DFDL in 2006 he practiced at two international law firms, Gide Loyrette Nouel and PricewaterhouseCoopers Legal in Hanoi. Thang advises foreign investors on the implementation of investment, M&A and infrastructure projects in Vietnam. Thang is a member of the Hanoi Bar Association. He speaks Vietnamese and English.

Senior Legal Adviser – Audray is a French trained legal adviser. She has over eight years of legal experience in the South-East Asia region – Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam – (around six years practicing law with DFDL Mekong). Her practice includes diverse areas, such as foreign direct investment, mergers and acquisitions and infrastructure and project finance. She is member of the regional Project Finance, Energy & Infrastructure Practice Group. She speaks French, English and German.

Senior Tax Adviser for the Indochina Tax Practice - Huy is a career tax lawyer with a J.D. from Hofstra and an LL.M in taxation from Georgetown University. After working for seven years in top tier law and tax advisory firms in New York, he joined DFDL’s tax practice in Ho Chi Minh City. Huy combines his international tax expertise with a detailed knowledge of Vietnam taxes. He has experience with employee remuneration plans, real estate development, taxation of financial products, and designing international corporate tax strategies. He speaks English, Vietnamese and Cantonese.

Senior Legal Adviser - Trang has over nine years experience particularly in the areas of compliance, labor issues and IP. She holds a Bachelor of Law from Ho Chi Minh City University of Law and is a member of the Ho Chi Minh City Bar Association. She speaksVietnamese, English and French.

Senior Tax Adviser – Thuan has a degree in economics and accounting and has over 10 years work experience, most recently with a “big four” tax advisory firm. He has advised, just to name a few examples, on tax implications of large construction and engineering projects, major acquisitions and on several highly publicized real estate developments. He speaks Vietnamese and English.

Senior Legal Adviser - Oanh is a member of the Hanoi Bar Association. She holds a Bachelor of Law from Hanoi University and a Master of Business Law from Toulouse University (France). She had five years experience practicing law with an international French law firm in Vietnam before joining DFDL Mekong and has assisted foreign investors in respect of Vietnamese laws and regulations. Her practice covers corporate, commercial and investment law. She speaks Vietnamese, French and English.

Senior Legal Adviser and Head of the Vietnam Real Estate Practice Group – Chau is highly experienced in real estate legal matters in Vietnam. Her practical legal experience with property projects allows her to provide hands-on advice on real estate licensing, green field investment and transfer of property investment projects, construction and zoning and other related issues. She is a qualified Australian lawyer holding a Masters of International Law (Honors), Bachelor of Arts (majoring in Japanese and Government) and Bachelor of Laws (Honors) from the University of Sydney, Sydney, Australia. She speaks English, Vietnamese and conversational Japanese.

Legal Adviser – Nguyen has over ten years experience in human resources management in foreign investment organizations and was in-house counsel to several organizations. She received her law degree from Ho Chi Minh City Law School (LL.B) and is a member of the Bar Association of HCMC, Human Resource Association and Intellectual Property Associate of HCMC (IPA). She speaks Vietnamese and English.

Legal Adviser - Dana is a Legal Adviser and a member of the firm's Corporate and Commercial Practice Group in Ho Chi Minh City. She is a New York qualified lawyer with experience in Asia and the US. She holds a Master of Laws in Environmental Law and a Juris Doctor (Pace University School of Law, New York) and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial & Labor Relations, concentrating on Collective Bargaining (Ithaca, New York) and is a member of the New York and New Jersey Bars. She speaks Korean, English, Mandarin and Japanese.

Legal Adviser - Kenneth is a Legal Adviser and a member of the firm's Hanoi office. He is an Australian and Malaysian qualified lawyer and has had four years practicing law with one of the largest Malaysian law firms, with two years in Vietnam, before joining DFDL Mekong. Kenneth assisted foreign investors with their investment projects in Vietnam. He holds a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (The College of Law, Sydney, Australia), a Bachelor of Laws (University of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia) and a Certificate in Legal Practice (Legal Profession Qualifying Board, Malaysia). His practice covers Banking and Finance, Corporate, Commercial and Investment Law. He speaks English, Chinese, Malay and basic Vietnamese.

Tax Adviser - My joined our Ho Chi Minh City office's Taxation Practice Group. She is a talented tax adviser with a degree in Foreign Economics from the Foreign Trade University, Ho Chi Min City. My has had over two years experience working in an international advisory firm and specializes in tax advisory. She holds a Bachelor of Foreign Economics (Foreign Trade University, HCMC). Her expertise includes tax risk management, tax structuring and tax compliance. She speaks Vietnamese and English.

Junior Legal Adviser - Niem is a Junior Legal Adviser attached to our Ho Chi Minh City office. She holds a Bachelor's Degree of Law (University of Ho Chi Minh City) and is a member of the Ho Chi Minh City Bar Association as a trainee lawyer. She has had over two years experience working in DFDL and her practice covers compliance, corporate and due diligence. She speaks Vietnamese and English.
