Chairman and Regional Director of DFDL Mekong.  David has been advising investors in Cambodia since 1992 and has been based in Phnom Penh since January 1995.  David has a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from the University of Washington School of Law, where he was an editor of the Washington Law Review.  David also has a post-doctoral degree in law and economics from L'Institut Universitaire de Hautes Etudes Internationales, in Geneva, Switzerland.  He has written many articles on Cambodian law and investment topics in various law, business and news publications.  He has also been named a number of times as one of Asia's "Leading Lawyers" by Asia Law.  David specializes in cross border mergers and acquisitions, and investment projects in the real estate, hotel, agro-industry, manufacturing and other sectors.  He also has strong expertise in project finance in the energy sector.  He is a member of the California and Washington State Bars.  Languages:  English and French.

L-Martin Desautels (Martin)
Country Managing Director of the Phnom Penh and Ho Chi Minh City Offices. He is a member of the Bar of the Province of Québec in Canada. He has been advising investors and local governments in the Mekong Region (Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos and Thailand) for around three years with the largest international French law firm Gide Loyrette Nouel. He received LLM from the London School of Economics in International Banking and Finance Law. Languages: English, French and basic notions of Vietnamese and Khmer.

He was admitted as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa in 1998 and is a member of the Natal Side Bar. Before joining the Firm he was a Senior Manager of Forensic Services with a global consulting firm. He has provided investigative and regulatory risk services to global firms operating in Africa and the Middle East. He has advised corporations in banking and finance, oil and gas, mining and telecommunications sectors.
