David Doran (David)
Chairman and Country Managing Director of DFDL MEKONG. David has been advising investors in Cambodia since 1992 and has been based in Phnom Penh since January 1995.  David has a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree from the University of Washington School of Law, where he was an editor of the Washington Law Review. David also has a post-doctoral degree in law and economics from L'Institut Universitaire de Hautes Etudes Internationales, in Geneva, Switzerland. He has written many articles on Cambodian law and investment topics in various law, business and news publications. He has also been named a number of times as one of Asia's "Leading Lawyers" by Asia Law. David specializes in cross border mergers and acquisitions, and investment projects in the real estate, hotel, agro-industry, manufacturing and other sectors. L-Martin Desautels (Martin)
Managing Director of the Phnom Penh and Lao PDR Office. He is a member of the Bar of the Province of Québec in Canada. He has been advising investors and local governments in the Mekong Region (Cambodia, Vietnam, Laos and Thailand) for around three years with the largest international French law firm Gide Loyrette Nouel and now for more than 5 years with DFDL MEKONG. He received LLM from the London School of Economics in International Banking and Finance Law. Languages: English, French and basic notions of Vietnamese and Khmer.
