David Doran
Partner, Country Managing Director - David founded DFDL Mekong in 1994, in Laos, along with three other lawyers.  He set up the Firm’s office in Phnom Penh in 1995, where he focused on project finance, energy, infrastructure, mergers & acquisitions and property.  In 2003, David relocated to Thailand to establish the Firm’s Bangkok office, and to supervise major hydropower projects in Laos (Nam Theun I, Nam Theun 2, and Nam Ngum 2).  David was born in Bangkok and is a Thai national.  He started his legal career in the region in 1992 with Baker & McKenzie’s Bangkok office.  He is a member of the California and Washington State Bar Associations, and has a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Washington School of Law, where he served on the Law Review.  He speaks English and French.

MARCUS COLLINS
Partner; Head of Samui and Phuket, Thailand offices - Marcus has more than 20 years experience advising clients on investing and operating businesses in Thailand.  He has practiced in Thailand at some of the world's most prestigious firms including Allen & Overy, where he was a partner.  Marcus left Allen & Overy in 2003 to join McEvily & Collins.  In search of new regional opportunities, Marcus merged his firm into DFDL Mekong in January 2010.  His practice focuses on general corporate/commercial work and property and finance transactions.  Marcus has an LL.M. from Cornell Law School and an LL.B. from Erasmus Universiteit, Rotterdam, The Netherlands.  He maintains his membership with the New York Bar Associations and is also admitted in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.  He speaks English, Dutch, coversational Thai and German.

Robert Fitzgibbons
Senior Consultant - Rob has practiced for over twenty years, 14 in Thailand, specializing in the strategic, legislative, contractual, and regulatory issues associated with the electric power and natural gas industries and large infrastructure projects.  Before joining DFDL Mekong, he was a partner with Hunton & Williams, and served as special legal adviser to EGAT in Thailand for eight years.  He has been involved in negotiating many of the power agreements executed by EGAT over the past 10 years.  He also is advising on power projects in Laos, Vietnam and Myanmar.  He speaks English.

Bundit Atthakor
Deputy Country Managing Director and Senior Consultant - Bundit has been practicing law for almost three decades and has extensive experience in energy, real estate, corporate, commercial and business law gained whilst with Baker & McKenzie and later in his own law firm.  He has spent 17 years in the legal offices of Shell Thailand, over seven years as General Counsel for Tesco Lotus, and legal adviser to a number of multinational companies.  Bundit has an LL.B. from Ramkamhaeng University and a Masters of Public and Private Management from the National Institute of Development Administration, Thailand.  He speaks Thai and English.

Senior Legal Adviser – Fabian joined McEvily & Collins in 2007 and then DFDL in 2010 when the two firms merged.  He focuses his practice on real estate, corporate and tax law.  Fabian has developed a specialty in providing advice in the areas of legal structuring for property developments as well as conducting property transactions involving residential and commercial developments.  He is admitted to the Bar of Stuttgart, Germany, where he actively practiced law before coming to Thailand in 2005.
